A FAMILY OF CRAFTSMEN

My name is Seth, founder of Abraham Hawkins.

Abraham Hawkins isn't just a name; it's a reflection of my family's heritage. I inherited my passion for woodworking from my grandfather, James Hawkins. He spent his retirement traveling the US, selling his handmade wooden toys at local craft shows and fairs. Growing up, I played with those toys – trains, planes, boats, and trucks – all lovingly crafted from homegrown hardwoods like cherry and hickory. He also made wooden ornaments and decorations, which my grandmother hand-painted.

A big part of my life also involves my family here in the UK. I moved from California (grew up in Southern Virginia) to be with my wife, and we’ve since built a life together in Buckinghamshire and welcomed our first child.

We believe in true craftsmanship: the quality that comes from designing and building something by hand. Our workshop is based in Amersham, in the heart of the beautiful Chilterns.

At Abraham Hawkins we're more than just kitchen designers or cabinet makers – we're a family of craftsmen.
